Case Study for the Installation of 2 x 2MVA Generators
The Project Overview:
Generator Support was required to support the critical areas of a large hospital in Glamorgan.
The Project Brief:
Our Clients were experts in the control side of Generator Installations and called upon our services once more to carry out the Heavy Duty LV Cabling works that each 2mVA Generator required.
The Defined Scope of Works:
New Cable Management was to be installed via diverse routes to provide access from the LV Switchboard to each of the new 2MVA Generators.
Each Generator was installed using 4 x 630mm AWA Cables per Phase, cleated to achieve correct spacing factors along the entire route, which included high access Podium works. Full Cable and Ladder designs were issued to the Client's Design team for approval prior to starting.
The Result:
Despite challenging time schedules, the Sets were installed ready for the clients Black Building test. Full Certification and O&M Information was soon handed over to a very happy client.
